Dolman Law Scholarship Video Essay Contest

Eligibility: Attending or planning to attend a college or university during the 2016-2017 academic year, in good academic standing with current educational institution, and acquire permission from a parent or legal guardian if under 18 years of age

In Florida and many other states, an adult motorcyclist is not required to wear a helmet. A handful of companies are looking to extend the purpose of a motorcycle helmet beyond mere protection, however, in order to include new technologies, including feed from a 180-degree rearview camera that provides a full rear-facing panorama and side-to-side visibility, GPS navigation as well as connection via Bluetooth allowing riders to play music, take calls, send texts and more via voice commands. With these recent advancements in helmet technology, should the laws be changed to require adult motorcyclists to wear helmets? Why or why not?
